CBD Oil & Inflammation: Now this is Interesting.
Inflammation- to treat it is like winning a battle, but only to lose the war.
Countless people around the world deal with it every day in the form of mild to excruciating pain in different parts of their body.
You can see a doctor and take all the pills, but the pain comes back no matter how hard you try.
Believe me; as someone who’s been suffering from reoccurring back pain for decades, I know how it feels to have your whole day ruined.
But today, I’m not here to moan and cry. I’m here to offer a solution!
Hey everyone, it’s Aaron again. And today I’m going to be talking about how I picked the best CBD oil for inflammation to get year-round comfort from pain.
But before I get to the products, let me give you a bit of a back story:
Why did I start using CBD Oil for inflammation?
As you might remember, I suffer from chronic pain in my back. And sometimes due to that, I have an inflamed lower back. However, this time around it was quite bad.
And it all happened because I forgot to take my CBD oils while I was on a month-long business trip to Nigeria. Needless to say, it was the worst experience ever.
Within a week, my anxiety, back pain, and sleep problems returned with a vengeance. I just couldn’t sleep, let alone work. However, I must say my boss was understanding. After all, he too got a lot of relief from his anxiety and depression problems using CBD.
Now, I knew I could tough it out and heal myself as soon as I got back home; but this time, it was different.
After 3 weeks without CBD, I noticed a widespread inflammation around my lower back. The area was as red as my cheeks after a kiss from my wife on our first date. And it was slightly warm to the touch as well.
Now, this took my anxiety to a whole new level. I was like a feral cat surrounded on all sides by evil men. And believe you me, I’m not exaggerating.
Moreover, I could feel the pain spread around. And putting any pressure on the inflamed area would cause a painful reaction.
It was bad. In fact, my condition was so terrible that I had to leave for home early.
As soon as I reached home, I visited the doctor, and he prescribed some painkillers and ointment for my inflammation.
Why I ditched pharmaceutical drugs?
Since I started taking my prescription medicine, I decided not to resume my CBD diet.
Sure, the painkillers dulled my senses and kept the pain at bay. But it did little to nothing to reduce my inflammation and anxiety. Moreover, it made me quite drowsy.
Despite the pain getting reduced, I just couldn’t work normally. It felt like I was only a shadow of my former self.
As for the ointment, it did jack shit. And after a week of using pharmaceutical drugs, I decided to strike the final nail on the coffin.
At this point, my good friend Daniel (some of you might already know him from his excellent CBD articles on this blog) suggested I try out CBD oil for my inflammation.
Honestly, I had no idea that CBD worked for inflammation. And after the talk with Daniel, I spent hours on the web doing my research.
Daniel’s talk and my findings were like a grand revelation! How could I have not known about this!
Studies about Inflammation and CBD
I came across a host of studies and articles on how CBD’s efficacy against inflammation. But, there were two which stood out to me.
One of the studies was conducted in the Institute of Digestive Disease, Tongji University School of Medicine, Shanghai, China.
In this case, the researchers tested the efficacy of cannabidiol and the drug O-1602 against inflammation. Both CBD and O-1602 significantly improved the inflamed areas in the mice.
The second studyfocused on the effects of transdermal cannabinoid on inflammation and pain-related behaviors in a rat model of arthritis. And the interesting conclusion, in this case, was that CBD had therapeutic effects on the aforementioned conditions without any evident side effects. The key phrase being ‘without any evident side effects.’
How has CBD helped with my current condition?
After reading various positive articles on the web, I didn’t waste any time resuming my CBD oil diet.
As expected, my back pain and sleep problems were gone within two days. My anxiety issues slowly died down within a week. And I was back to my normal self. However, since my inflammation was quite bad, it took me a while to fully heal it.
Compared to the pharmaceutical drugs I tried earlier, CBD oil worked wonders for me. Not only did I fully recover, but I also didn’t suffer from any of the dreaded side effects that one can expect from painkillers and other such pharmaceutical drugs.
Top 5 BEST CBD Oils for Inflammation
Since my inflammation was a one-time thing, I couldn’t test the efficacy of all the oils I reviewed here. The first 3 oils did the job for me and completely cured me of my ailments.
As for the remaining 2 oils, I tested its efficacy against my back pain, sleep problem, and anxiety issues. But, I’m sure they are just as effective against inflammation.
1. Fab CBD
I’ve always respected Fab CBD for taking a slightly different approach to the CBD game.
Their CBD oils may not have an ultra-high concentration product, but they are excellent nonetheless. Moreover, they give you the option of 3 flavors; citrus, mint and natural.
Fab CBD’s products may be geared towards beginners, but that doesn’t mean long time users won’t reap the benefits. Au contraire. Even after spending 4 years with CBD, I still love trying out their oils tinctures for my reviews.
Now, let’s find out whether the 600 mg oil tincture worked for my conditions.
- Comes in 3 flavors; natural, mint and citrus.
- Non-GMO and made from 100% organic hemp grown in the US
- Non-psychoactive; contains trace amounts of THC (0.3%).
- Natural flavor is pet-friendly.
What did I like?
After I finished my online research and decided to resume my CBD diet, this was the first brand I tried out.
Since the 600 mg oil is not as concentrated as I would like, I took a larger dosage amount. And the first dose itself improved my sleep significantly, and my back pain reduced a lot too. I felt much calmer as well. However, the inflammation didn’t magically vanish.
It was only after the 4th day that I noticed an improvement in my condition. By then, all traces of my back pain and sleep problems were gone. However, traces of my anxiety still remained.
Asfor the inflammation, the area became less painful. And the reddening reduced a bit. And at this point, I decided to stop taking the CBD oil and move on to the next product.
I knew the Fab CBD oil would’ve removed any signs of my inflammation if I gave it enough time. However, for the sake of this article, I decided to test other oils as well.
As for my remaining conditions, this oil worked quite well. My sleep problems and chronic back pain were gone. However, even after 4 days of testing, my anxiety issues weren’t completely wiped out. But, it wasn’t bad enough to affect my work.
2. NuLeaf Naturals
If you’ve been following me, this brand needs no introduction. I’ve been in love with NuLeaf Naturals ever since I first came across their CBD oil tinctures.
Unlike Fab CBD, their oil tinctures are available in 5 concentration levels, including a mammoth 4850 mg bottle. However, all their offerings come with the same 50 mg of CBD per ml.
So, was NuLeaf Natural’s concentrated CBD oil more effective than Fab CBD’s product? Let’s find out.
- Made from non-GMO hemp plants grown in Colorado, USA.
- 100% organic.
- Whole plant extract (CO2 extraction) contains a full spectrum of naturally occurring cannabinoids and terpenes.
- Legal in all 50 states of the US.
- All bottles have 50 mg of CBD per ml of oil.
- NuLeaf Naturals offers a Full Spectrum CBD Oil for pets.
What did I like?
I’ve been using NuLeaf Naturals’ products for a while now, and I was really looking forward to testing the efficacy of their tincture against inflammation.
Since all their oils come with the same 50 mg CBD per ml of oil, I purchased the 1450 mg product.
For this review, I took a 1-week break from my existing CBD medications. And within that period, my back pain, sleep problems, and anxiety, slowly came back. Moreover, the inflamed area became worse.
However, after just 1 concentrated dose, I became a lot calmer, and my back pain completely died down. Even my sleep was almost back to normal.
As for my inflammation, it took more than a single dose to notice a significant change. But after 3 days of testing the NuLeaf Naturals’ oil, my inflammation was almost gone. And needless to say, there were no traces of my back pain, anxiety or sleep problems.
When it comes to quality and potency, very few products can match what NuLeaf Naturals has to offer. Sure, their oils are priced a little on the higher side, but, if you want a product which is meticulously made from the highest quality hemp, then this is it.
Now, this is one company which has immense faith in their products. In fact, all their CBD oil tinctures are backed by a 90 Day Money Back Guarantee! That alone is a big enough reason to buy this product, especially if you’re new to the CBD game.
However, like Fab CBD, CBDPure doesn’t have any ultra-high concentration oils. Their highest offering contains only 600 mg of CBD, which is a lot less compared to what brands like NuLeaf Naturals, CBDISTILLERY, and SOL CBD have to offer.
- All their products are backed by a 90 Day Money Back Guarantee.
- CBDPure’shemp oils are completely legal
- The company follows strict manufacturing guidelines and stringent quality control measures.
- Available in all 50 states of the US.
What did I like?
Once again, I took a week-long break from my existing CBD medications until my problems resurfaced.
After a concentrated dose of the 600 mg CBD oil tincture, I felt my back pain subside significantly. My sleep also improved. And I felt a lot calmer.
As for my inflammation, which was already much better thanks to the NuLeaf Naturals oil, it slowly vanished after the 4th day.
Honestly, despite the lower concentration, this CBD oil is an excellent product. And the 90 Day Money Back Guarantee will surely seal the deal for many. However, it is priced a little on the higher side, as you would expect from a low concentration product.
CBDPure’s oil managed to strike the final nail on the inflammation coffin. And, it was more than adequate to handle my ever-existing conditions.
In my opinion, if you’re new to the world of CBD and flavored oils don’t matter much to you, then this is the brand to go for.
If only they sold a higher concentration product with better value. Sigh…
Speaking of value, you just can’t fault CBDISTILLERY in this area. In fact, they offer some of the best value for money CBD oil tinctures in the business.
Their 5000 mg CBD oil offers an impressive 20.8 mg CBD per dollar. In contrast, NuLeaf Natural’s 4850 mg product only offers a price ratio of 11 mg CBD per dollar.
.Made from non-GMO hemp plants.
- Full spectrum CBD oil is completely natural.
- carrier oil is Coconut MCT oil.
- 5000 mg oil tincture offers one of the best price ratios in the market.
What did I like?
As I said before, my inflammation completely healed up by the time I was done reviewing the third product on this list. And so, I couldn’t test the efficacy of the CBDISTILLERY product against inflammation.
But, trying it out on my existing conditions would give me a fair idea about its effects on inflammation; so, I went on with the review as usual.
I followed the same protocol as before and did not take any CBD medication for a week. After my conditions started to affect my daily life, I started with a standard dose of the 1000 mg CBD oil.
Now, the 1000 mg oil is quite concentrated (66.7 mg CBD per ml); even more so than the tinctures from NuLeaf Naturals. But despite a comparable dosage amount, the effects were almost identical.
The first dose itself made a significant difference in my back pain and sleep problems. Moreover, I felt much calmer. And by the third dose, I was back to my best.
CBDISTILLERY’s product may not match NuLeaf Naturals and SOL CBD on quality. But, it’s close. However, the company surely has its competitors beat when it comes to the price.
In my opinion, if you’re on a budget and are looking for something potent, then look no further.
5. SOL CBD
SOL CBD has been my go-to CBD brand for a while now. And so, to avoid any bias, I decided to test it last.
Unfortunately, at the time of testing SOL CBD’s oil tincture, my inflammation was already gone. And just like in the case of the CBDISTILLERY oil, I had to judge its efficacy based on my existing conditions.
- 60-day money back guarantee offers buyers peace of mind.
- Made from 100% organic hemp grown in Northern Europe.
- Hemp oil is cold processed using CO2 extraction.
- 300 mg oil is available in natural and cinnamon flavors.
- legal in all 50 states of the USA.
What did I like?
As I’ve tested the 3600 mg oil countless times, I decided to go for the 300 mg product.
I followed the same protocol as before and went without any CBD medications for a week. And after my conditions slowly came back to my life, I took a concentrated dose of the CBD tincture.
My back pain reduced considerably, but my sleep wasn’t back to normal. As for my anxiety, it was still bad enough to affect my work.
It was only after a week of using the CBD oil that I returned to my usual self.
Honestly, since I’ve been using CBD products for over 4 years, low concentration oils just don’t cut it for me. Had I used the 3600 mg tincture, I would’ve been back to my best within 3 days.
In my opinion, the 300 mg offerings from SOL CBD are ideal for beginners. However, if you’re like me and need something more potent, go for the 3600 mg bottle. It is surely among the best ultra-high concentration oils in the market.
A Word about Topicals
Although CBD oil tinctures work well for inflammations, you can also use topicals in case you aren’t accustomed to the taste.
Better still, you can use a combination of CBD oil tincture and topical to accelerate the process of healing.
There’s no real way to suggest a dosage amount. The best way to figure out is by starting small. If it’s effective, continue with that dose, or else slowly increase it till you’re satisfied with the results.

Conclusion: So final thoughts about CBD oil for inflammation
That brings us to the end. While I couldn’t test the efficacy of all the products on this list against inflammation, I hope I’ve shed enough light on the topic.
